Dropbox Alternatives: Chinese Cloud Storage Services | CreativeHunt

Dropbox is great and all, but Chinese versions of the versatile cloud storage platform offer much more space (up to 10TB, even), and most of them are free too.

Because I am in China, even with my VPN Dropbox and Box.com don’t seem to work.  When I found Weiyun, with 10 Terabytes of free storage I thought it was unreal.  But it seems to work.  Because it is in English, I would recommend this to anyone around the world.  I am not sure if it would work though, because it asked me for a Chinese landline in order to connect the account.

Art historian Maximilian Schich put together this pretty visualization that records humanity’s cultural history over 2,600 years. The blue and red dots you see above are the birthplaces and deaths for over 120,000 people who were “notable enough” to have their births and deaths recorded.
