Every Friday afternoon Chase’s teacher asks her students to take out a piece of paper and write down the names of four children with whom they’d like to sit the following week. The children know that these requests may or may not be honored.
This is such a powerful article. Every teacher should read it to remind themselves what is really important in life. The strategy that this teacher uses to find out who is liked, shunned, upset, popular, and so forth is so simple, effective, and easily reproducible.

Guy Hoffman discusses the methods he uses to create robots that act like humans.
In this TEDx talk Hoffman explains that humans enjoy robots that make mistakes more than robots that are perfect and scripted. We see the development of his robots to something that seems like I would enjoy having in my own home playing my iPhone/iPod music. Really cool.
