Why Reading Aloud to Older Children Is Valuable

Reading aloud to older children — even up to age 14, who can comfortably read to themselves — has benefits both academic and emotional, according to researchers.

Thomas Adam Johnson‘s insight:

I wonder why 14 is the cut-off.  For example, many people love poetry readings, and book clubs also sometimes have read-alouds. I think the longer, the better, but this article demonstrates a few more reasons why we should be reading to kids and adults alike.
